It’s Never Too Early to Start Getting Festive

Today was our day to stay home and start decorating the tree. Unfortunately, these new lights I bought had a giant knot in the middle of them, so after watching The Santa Clause 1 and 2 with me and Jack, Steve finally gave up on the project for now. Thanks for the lovely lights with a mix of warm and bright white bulbs, Aldi, but this was very frustrating.

Yesterday, the only thing we did was take Jack to swim lessons where he is doing the back stroke on his own now. We’re very proud and he loves to swim, so it’s great that he’s doing so well.

I had my three full days of work so I was tapped out by Thursday night. I’m at the point where I finally accept that I don’t want to book anymore events on the run up to Christmas because I just like being in the house with everybody.

I saw this as Jack is on one side of me, playing Keeper on the Xbox, and Daisy is snoozing to my left on the sofa. This is too good to interrupt with the pesky cold and outdoors.

The weather report says it’s supposed to snow next week too and I am not mentally prepared.
